Trapani

          On one tightened earth language to the slopes of the Monte San Giuliano, allonge on the sea the more ancient nucleus of the city of Bottoming drills.

In this peninsula the Sicani founded the first village with the name of Drepano. Subsequently with the Fenici in the VIII sec. B.C. this "emporium" acquired importance and strategic port of call let alone bench mark of the punic strategic system.

The town, under the Romans and Bizantino, lost much of its prestige, come back importance in the Arabic period. The Arabic domination carried new customs and impresse new characters to the town woven one of the city still noticeable in the intricate end  articulate alleys and blind narrow lanes. With Normann Trapani it caught up the regie town. 

 In thats period Trapani trade flourished and the coral industry and the goldsmith's shop has more development and  were exported all over the world then know. In trapani there where consulates of the Genoans, the Venetians, The Catalans, the Pisans and the French. 

From visit: The Annunziata Shrine of the 1315 from magnificent rose and an early fifteenth-century Gothic portal.The Pepoli National Museum is in the former Annuziata convent, where archaeological collections includes Phoenician, Punik and Roman material from various place; several also the coming from sculptures from schools sicialian: collections of corals and goldsmith's shop done the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries. 

Interesting also the  Preistory Museum in the Tower of Ligny.
