San Vito Lo Capo

              Ancient seafaring village, today one of the most beautiful beaches of  Sicily. The ancient village of fishermen, has  been developed around  the ancient fortress saracena, later transformed in Sanctuary dedicated to Saint Vito.

             The legend narrates that the mission to found the village was entrusted to Saint Crescenzia  and Saint Vito which,  had  a pact: never turn itself  behind along the street. Saint Crescenzia , reached near the place where today there is a chappel  dedicated to her ( pilgrimage of the people "pigghiati ‘i scantu"), turned and became a  stone; Saint Vito, instead, was able to terminate the mission . 

             The clime, the beach, the sea, the adorned plantes of flowers, the fresh fish, the intense scents and its panoramas offer to the tourist the occasion for one unforgettable vacation.
